Ducks In A Row provides "death tech" solutions designed to help the "sandwich generation" organize end-of-life logistics for themselves and their loved ones. We understand the sensitive nature of the information you entrust to us and are committed to protecting your privacy through transparent data practices.

To provide our Services effectively, we collect the following categories of information:
a. Information You Provide to Us (Stored on Your Device)
- End-of-Life Planning Data: Highly sensitive information you choose to input, including but not limited to, digital asset instructions, estate planning documents, funeral preferences, and legacy messages. This information is stored exclusively on your device.
- Family and Dependent Information: Details regarding your children or parents for whom you are organizing care or legacy plans. This information is stored exclusively on your device.
b. Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: IP address, device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: Details about how you interact with our apps, including timestamps, features accessed, and crash reports.
c. Information from Third Parties
- Payments and Subscriptions (RevenueCat): If you make a purchase or subscribe, payments and subscriptions are processed and managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect transaction and purchase-related information to process your purchase and manage your subscription.
- Technical Logging / Crash Reporting (Replit): We may use Replit for technical logging or crash reporting. Replit may receive limited technical data to help us diagnose issues and keep the Services working.
- If you choose to link third-party services, we may receive information necessary to facilitate those integrations.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Service Delivery: To operate the app on your device. Your end-of-life planning data is stored locally and the app is fully functional offline. Ducks In A Row does not store this client information on our servers and does not have access to it.
- Communication: To send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
- Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve functionality and user experience.
- Compliance: To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Consent: We will share your end-of-life data with designated "Legacy Contacts" or beneficiaries only when you explicitly authorize us to do so.
- Service Providers: We may share limited information with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., RevenueCat for payments, Replit for logging).
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, we may disclose information to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset.
4. Data Security
- Encryption: Data is encrypted both in transit (using SSL/TLS) and at rest.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Sharing with Key Holders

If you choose to share UGC, it is shared only with the "key holders" you designate through the app. Ducks In A Row does not store your UGC on our servers and does not have access to the contents of your UGC.

- Access and Portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can update your information directly within the app settings.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and associated data, subject to certain legal retention requirements.
- Opt-Out: You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us at any time.

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
